DATA FROM: PRODUCTION OF BIOADSORBENT FROM PHOSPHORIC ACID PRETREATED PALM KERNEL SHELL AND COCONUT SHELL BY TWO-STAGE CONTINUOUS PHYSICAL ACTIVATION VIA N2 AND AIR
DESCRIPTION : In the present study, agricultural biomass; palm kernel shell (PKS) and coconut shell (CS) were used to produce high porosity bioadsorbent using two-stage continuous physical activation method with different gas carrier (air and N2) in each stage. The activation temperature was set constant at 600°C, 700°C, 800°C or 900°C for both activation stages with the heating rate of 3°C min-1. Two parameters including the gas carrier and activation temperature were determined as the significant factors on the adsorption properties of bioadsorbent. BET, SEM, FTIR, TGA, CHNS/O and ash content were used to elucidate the developed bioadsorbent prepared from PKS and CS and its capacity towards the adsorption of methylene blue and iodine. The novel process of two-stage continuous physical activation method was capable to emerge mesopores and micropores that were previously covered/clogged in nature, and simultaneously creating new pores. The synthesized bioadsorbents showed that the surface area (PKS: 456.47 m2 g-1; CS: 479.17 m2 g-1), pore size (PKS: 0.63 nm: CS: 0.62 nm) and pore volume (PKS: 0.13 cm3 g-1, CS: 0.15 cm3 g-1) were significantly higher than that of non-treated bioadsorbent. The surface morphology of the raw materials and synthesized bioadsorbent were accessed by SEM. Furthermore, the novel process meets the recent industrial adsorbent requirements such as low activation temperature, high fixed carbon content, high yield, high adsorption properties and high surface area which are the key factors for large scale production of bioadsorbent and its usage.

CHINESE EFL LEARNERS' WRITING EVALUATION BY CHATGPT
DESCRIPTION : The data mainly provide ChatGPT's rating on 82 Chinese EFL learners' writings with scores and comments as well as the scores by reliable manual rating. With the data, researchers can do quantitative or qualitative research on the reliability of EFL writing evaluation with ChatGPT by taking reliable manual ratings as a reference. It includes two parts: 1) ChatGPT's rating with scores and comments, and 2) statistics on overall, average, and specific scores of manual and ChatGPT's rating.

400 COMPOSITIONS BY EFL LEARNERS OF A UNIVERSITY IN SOUTHWESTERN CHINA (CEFLLUSC)
DESCRIPTION : This is a self-built EFL learner corpus comprising 400 compositions written by 100 English program students from a University in Southwestern China. The data were collected in the first semester of the academic year 2016-2017, which was the third semester for the students. The students are from 3 classes of the course English Writing. Each student was required to write 1 composition in weeks 1, 3, 5, and 7 respectively of that semester. There are a total of 115 students in the 3 classes. To keep the consistency of the writing samples, the compositions of 15 of the students who cannot complete all the 4 writing tasks are deleted from the dataset.

EXPLORING THE EFFECT OF INDUSTRIAL AGGLOMERATION ON INCOME INEQUALITY IN CHINA
DESCRIPTION : Income inequality is a good indicator reflecting the quality of people's livelihood. There are many studies on the determinants of income inequality. However, few have studied the impacts of industrial agglomeration on income inequality, and even fewer have studied the spatial correlation of income inequality. The goal of this paper is to investigate the impact of China's industrial agglomeration on income inequality from a spatial perspective. Using data on China's 31 provinces from 2003 to 2020 and the spatial panel Durbin model, our results show that industrial agglomeration and income inequality present an inverted "U-shape" relationship, proving that they are non-linear changes. As the degree of industrial agglomeration increases, income inequality will rise; after it reaches a certain value, income inequality will drop. Therefore, the Chinese government and enterprises had better pay attention to the spatial distribution of industrial agglomeration, thereby reducing China's regional income inequality.
